Test Results
All test results are reviewed by a Doctor, and if any action is required we will contact you. If we do not contact you, you may assume that the results are satisfactory.
If you have been asked to call back for results, please call reception after 4pm. Some results may take longer to arrive at the practice so please do not be alarmed if results have not arrived at the Practice.
If tests have been arranged for you by the hospital, please contact the consultant at the hospital for the results.
General Information about Test Results
Results can only be given to someone other than the patient if arranged with the Practice. If it is not clear, then staff will ask if the patient is there and if given confirmation will be happy to discuss them on that occasion only. If you wish someone else to be able to receive your results, then please put this in writing to the practice. Children on reaching 16 years of age must give consent for information to be shared.
Laboratory Specimens
Specimens should be handed in as early in the day as possible. Please ensure your name and date of birth are on the container.
