Everyone can go to their pharmacist for free advice or to buy a medication for a minor ailment.
Your pharmacist can also help you decide whether you need to see a doctor or if self treatment is enough.

- Diarrhoea
- Earache
- Haemorrhoids
- Hay fever
- Head lice
- Insect bites/stings
- Sore throat

- Temperature/fever

- Thrush
- Urinary Tract Infections (UTI)
Minor Ailments
Many minor ailments respond well to self-treatment and do not require intervention by a Healthcare Profession. You can also attend your local Pharmacist who operates minor illness/ailment services.
- Minor problems such as the common cold, viral illness, sore throat can be treated with simple paracetamol. Be sure to read instructions and do not take more than advised.
- Simple aches and pains such as back pain can be treated with pain relief, heat and rest.
Upsets in children should, however, be monitored closely. If you are at all concerned about your child please phone us for advice. We will never refuse to see a child.
