Flu Season 2020


This year the practice will ONLY be vaccinating the 18-64 AT RISK patients.


We have sent out postcard invitations to those who are in this group which look like (below), so please look out for them, but you can book your appointment NOW by phoning the surgery on 0141 207 7480

  

 

Vaccinations will be by APPOINTMENT ONLY and we have dedicated Saturday 3rd October to this.

 

If you can attend that day please do so. Other clinics will be available after this date.

 Note this is for the FLU vaccine only.

 At Risk Groups. This list is not exhaustive

Chronic respiratory disease

Chronic heart disease

Chronic kidney disease

Chronic liver disease

Chronic neurological disease

Diabetes

Immunosuppression

Asplenia or dysfunction of the spleen

Morbid Obesity (class III obesity)*

Patients aged over 65 and any who are due but fall into a different grouping will be done by Health Board staff. Click the link below for details

Patients aged over 65 get a different vaccine and the practice has been not given stock.

  

We know this is a big change this year, however we do encourage everyone who is entitled to receive the vaccine take up the offer.
